IPCO was
contracted by the Malaysian Government to finance, design, construct,
operate and maintain an electrical power supply system. IPCO's BOT
development proposal was selected because it utilised surplus energy from
a gas fired power station rather than diesel fuel, and was a considerably
less costly alternative to satisfy Sabah's power needs. |
